Our Mission
Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.
Who We Are
Girl Scouts is the world’s largest organization dedicated solely to girls—all girls!—where girls build character and skills for success in the real world. Scouting offers an accepting and nurturing environment where, in partnership with committed adults, girls participate in fun-filled activities that challenge them and help them grow.
Our Council
The
Girl Scouts of Western Ohio council serves nearly 42,000 girls in a 32-county area throughout western Ohio and southeast Indiana.
Our Service Unit
The
Cedar City Service Unit (#440) of the Girl Scouts of Western Ohio serves girl scout troops in:
- Lebanon
- Waynesville
- Greater Warren County
Our service area includes the Lebanon City Schools and St. Francis DeSales school. Over 100 adult leaders help run more than 22 troops for 450 girls in our area, and contribute thousands of volunteer hours annually. We work to:
- Provide direct support to girls and adults in our scouting program
- Educate our community about the benefits of Girl Scouting
- Act as a communication center for service unit members
- Extend and retain membership
